The Home Rehabilitation Assistance Program provides low income and very low income families an opportunity to purchase their own home.  The Housing Authority currently has several homes located in in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico that have been rehabilitated and have occupants holding a lease with an option to purchase agreement.   Homes are generally in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.

Eligibility:  No police record.  Acceptable credit and credit references for mortgage eligibility.  The family must currently be participating in one of the Housing Authority programs, such as public housing or Housing Choice Voucher and Family Self-Sufficiency Program. Rent Calculation:  Thirty percent (30%) of your annual adjusted income. 

Utilities:  You pay gas, water and electric.  The City Electric Department can be contacted regarding any required deposits for electric and water at  (505) 894-6671.  PNM Gas Company can be contacted at (505) 894-2843.

Security Deposits:  $350.00
