Horticulture Specialist
Alvin Siffring has been working for the Truth or Consequences Housing Authority as the Horticulture Specialist since September 1999. He is responsible for numerous landscaping projects in public housing and the Rural Development 515 properties.
He was born in Ogallala, Nebraska. He moved to Truth or Consequences from his farm near Ogallala, Nebraska.

Experience includes Socorro Soil and Water Conservation District (Water Quality), New Mexico State University Cooperative Extension Service (Water Quality Technician), Western Bank (Executive Vice President), Keith County Bank and Trust Company (Vice President), and lifelong farmer.
Education includes B.S. in Agriculture Economics and graduate classes, General Agriculture, National Commercial Lending School and Colorado Graduate School of Banking. |
He is Chairman of the City of T or C Joint Utilities Advisory Board, member of the Rotary Club of Truth or Consequences – International Service Committee, Instructor Western New Mexico University (Principles of Banking), and presenter of Pollution Prevention classes to schools.
Recognition and awards include Paul Harris Fellow (Rotary Foundation), and Captain, Artillery Unit Commander.
Hobbies include reading, travel, working in his shop and community projects.
