Finance Manager

 

 

Anna Norton has been working for the Truth or Consequences Housing Authority as the Finance Manager since December 1997.  She is responsible for managing accounts payable, payroll, insurance, procurement, personnel and computer management.  She was born in Belen, New Mexico.  She moved from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Truth or Consequences. 

 

 

Experience includes approximately 10 years as a clerk with the Interservice Nuclear Weapons School and 20 years as a legal secretary.

 

 

With a high school diploma, she attended AAA Business College and holds the following Certificates related to public housing, Financial Management for Local Housing Authorities, PHA Accounting and Budgeting, Requirements for Contracting and Conducting Audits of Agencies, Section 8 Series: Occupancy Issues, Section 8 Series: Certificate and Voucher, Section 8 Series: SEMAP, Section 8 Series: Budgeting, Tools for Sound Financial Management, Advanced PHA Accounting, Budgeting and Finance, What’s Up With Peer Review (Auditors), OMB Circular A-133 Amendments, Opinions, Thresholds, What’s Next?, Hazmat & Hazcom, Safety & Health Programs and Means of Egress & Fire Protection, Introduction to OSHA and Recordkeeping, 2001 Basic Group Rep Training for Employee Benefits, and Techniques for Managing and Documenting Force Account Construction.

 

Recognition and awards include several letters of appreciation from students attending the Interservice Nuclear Weapons School.

 

 

Hobbies include computers – surfing the internet, web design, learning new programs - reading, camping, swimming, fishing, and hiking.
