Executive Director
Our current Executive Director of the Truth or Consequences Housing Authority has been with the Truth or Consequences Housing Authority since July 1990.
During his tenure as Executive Director, he has accomplished many goals. The Housing Authority went from three employees to the current staff of thirteen employees. Programs include 100 Public Housing units, 190 Housing Choice Vouchers, Family Self-Sufficiency, Resident Opportunity and Self-Sufficiency, Drug Elimination, Capital Fund Programs. He also created the first Housing Authority sponsored day care center in New Mexico.
Also, our Executive Director has made possible the purchase of two Rural Development 515 properties, which added 20 family and 32 senior and disabled low-income rental units to our existing public housing. Next, our Executive Director obtained funding from the HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME Program). The HOME Program has allowed the Housing Authority to purchase nines homes. Most of the homes have been sold to successful participants in the Housing Authority’s Family Self-Sufficiency Program.
Several homes remain on the market for eligible participants to move in, lease to own, complete their goals and become home owners.
Our Executive Director’s goals revolve around improving and expanding affordable housing and extending and strengthening partnerships among all levels of government and community.
